Keir Brietenfeld -- Director, Experian Decision Analytics

Hi, my name is Keir Breitenfeld. I'm a Director of Product Management within Experian's Decision Analytics team, with specific responsibility for our core consumer authentication products, Precise ID and Knowledge IQ and Commercial Fraud Insight. Via these, and other offerings, our clients are able to confidently verify consumer identities in non-face-to-face interactions, while detecting and preventing fraudulent applications and transactions.

Personally, I'm a former naval officer with an additional 10 years of industry experience in the credit card, electronic funds transfer, fraud prevention, and product management arenas. I graduated from Auburn University, where I competed in intercollegiate track and field and cross country, and later earned my MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. I currently reside in Florida with my wife and brand new daughter.

The purpose of my blog is to assist institutions in effectively and efficiently meeting applicable requirements associated with the recently established FACTA Red Flags Rule. While the requirements of the rule may be fairly straightforward, the varied methods available to achieve compliance allow for the implementation of creative and cost-effective processes. We'll be discussing Red Flag guidelines and suggested best practices as the market moves toward full Red Flags compliance.
